An
accounting pre and post seminar for the workers of Jewish organizations
was conducted similarly to a seminar for Medical
program staff in Kazakhstan. Accountants were very active, obviously
because of their deeper knowledge of computers. Most of them are good
at work with computers, and it makes their work easier.
An accounting pre seminar started on August 4, 2003 and lasted
4 weeks. Its aim was to teach accountants to work with Microsoft Excel.
They were to learn the way to input and delete lines, to copy data in
tables and insert it to another page, to sum all up. All these operations
are necessary for accountants to compile monthly reports independently,
and it helps them in learning the Accounting Software 1C. It also simplifies
the work of accountants.
A pre seminar work was based on distance learning system,
involving communication through e-mail. 11 Hasadim took part in the pre
seminar.
The seminar materials were delivered personally to every accountant. They
were also put on the website www.mitsva.kz in section "Instructions"
for every person to have a possibility to fulfill any task at any time
in certain frames, what was a great plus in our work. Actively worked
accountants from the following cities: Shymkent, Kostanay, Karaganda,
Pavlodar, Aktobe, Taraz.
After fulfilling the first task two cities broke the connection
with us - Astana (accountant Kocherigina Mira Yakovlevna) and
Taraz (accountant Bazhanova Ludmila Ivanovna) because of the illness of
the latter.
Since August 11 the accountants of 11 Hasadim had continued
their work with us. The accountants of 6 Hasadim finished their work in
the pre seminar by August 20, and the accountants of two more Hasadim - by
August 21.
The results of analysis are as follows:
The materials of pre seminar were comprehended in full by
8 accountants, what comprises 89 per cent. The exception was Torf Olga
from Karaganda, who had implemented all the tasks in full, but later than
others.
By the beginning of the face to face seminar
we achieved a 100 per cent task fulfillment by 9 accountants that we had
been working with. The questions related to the way and quality of pre
seminar work were delivered to the accountants together with the last
task. The accountants were satisfied and showed their readiness to work
further.
After a face to face seminal there appeared a necessity of
conducting a post seminar.
An accounting post seminar started its work on November 21,
2003. Three cities were involved in it - Astana, Kostanay and
Petropavlovsk.
The aim of a post seminar is to teach accountants to put data
into the Hasadim accounting tables, to make necessary calculations, using
formulas. The post seminar involved 9 cities - Astana, Kostanai,
Ust-Kamenogorsk, Pavlodar, Petropavlovsk, Aktobe, Kokshetau, Uralsk and
Taraz. The necessity of that post seminar was caused by the fact that
the accountants of the cities mentioned above had not worked with the
electronic worksheets, in which they send their accounts on Hasadim.
The seminar was comprised of three tasks, which were put
on the website www.mitsva.kz. That allowed the accountants to set up the
pace of work by themselves.
The analysis of the work done gives the right to confirm
that the accountants of Kazakhstani Hasadim distantly studied Microsoft
Excel. They understand the system of work and study with pleasure.
Further we plan to conduct a post seminar on the Accounting Software
1C. In this connection we questionnaired the accountants for setting up
a program for a training post seminar on the Accounting Software 1C.
Beside the above seminars there was conducted a seminar on
Children SOS (Larisa Poltavskaya) and three virtual seminars with Hasadim
of Kazakhstan on preparation of data for the website www.mitsva.kz (Galina
Goldberg).
