"Shatil"
children's club members gathered in Astana community center. 16 children
have actively started preparing to the holiday evening, devoted to Tu
Bi-Shevat.
Before the children started to compose a scenario of the
evening, club participants together with volunteers from the Jewish Republican
library filial in Astana read several books of Jewish writers, devoted
to the New Year of Trees. Among the stories children liked best were the
following: "Tu Bi-Shevat meals" by Rivka Elitsur and "A
tree has come" by Ovsey Driz.
At the end of the meeting children draw trees, growing in
Erets Israel. And then they were given a home task to prepare flowerpots
with a ground for planting sprouts on Tu Bi-Shevat.
