17-year
old Anton Kazachkov, an active member of Atyrau Jewish community, has
entered the University of Israel. The former employee of a local newspaper
and radio station has long dreamt of studying in his motherland. He tried
hard to achieve his aim. Even perfect school academic records were not
enough. But broad outlook, erudition, and good memory ensured his success.
Starting with the next academic year Anton will become one
of thousands Israeli freshmen. His relatives and friends are proud for
his achievements and wish him good luck.
Meanwhile Anton attends lessons of Tradition, learns Hebrew,
and volunteers in the community.
