of Karaganda Jewish community Elizaveta and Efim Rofman have celebrated
their golden wedding.
They met each other before WWII, when both were children.
When the war started they were evacuated to Kazakhstan along with other
Jewish families. They used to work in Karaganda; Efim was a design engineer
in coal industry, Elizaveta was an economist.
Now their eldest son Mark lives in Almaty, and the youngest
Igor in Australia. Rofmans take part in all communal and cultural activities
in the Hesed "Miriam"
and "Shemesh"
. JCC. Jewish culture is an integral part of their life.
Karaganda Jewish community would like to congratulate Efim
and Elizaveta on their anniversary and wish them "ad mea ve esrim" - to live till 120!
