They write, say, and think a lot about Jews. But anyway the Jewish people are always surrounded with rumours, fantasies, and legends. Maybe it is because Jews do not like talking seriously about themselves.

   A book by A.A. Melyahovetsky "Peculiarities of Jewish National Character" has been presented in the Hesed "Natan" library literature club. The author investigates the problems of Jewish mentality. His thoughts are accompanied with anecdotes and funny stories.

   The book has recently appeared in Kokshetau branch of the Republican Jewish Library, but it has already generated interest of the readers. It is most popular among the elder generation, who can treat the things with humour.
