HOW COULD HEART FORGET THIS

Kokshetau 14.09.04

I would like to tell you about Abram Efimovitch Movshe - a wonderful person, musician, teacher and band master of State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Abai.

In 1968 having graduated from Musical school in Rudnyi city, I entered Almaty State Conservatoire, the class of Abram Movshe, which I've heard much about.

We loved that man very much for his kindness; for his love to us, students, as well as for his competence. I can remember the way he met students after they had passed their exams - he obligatory came up to them and analyzed the answer he got. He did neither remarks, nor rebukes, but exactly analysis. This was a success, but that you had to play a little bit quiet, and there you should accelerated.

Everybody listened to him, but not just considered his opinion. There were legends about him. Outstanding band masters, performing on tour in Almaty, highly appreciated his performing skills (that time Abram Efimovitch played in orchestra, and further he became a band master).

Abram Efimovitch had wonderful qualities - sensitiveness, kindness, and leniency. He was a very kindhearted person.

Many years have passed, but I still remember his words, his advices and recommendation concerning not only music, but life as well.
