"Etgar" children's Day Center has been waiting for the trip to Borovoe for a long time. Though the resort is just several hours drive from Kokshetau town, most of the children have never been there. But with the assistance of JDC and the Hesed "Natan" the children had a chance to see one of the most beautiful places in our country.

   Finally it was Sunday. A bus came up to the Hesed building. The children hurried up to take their seats.

   The day was bright and sunny. It seemed that the weather decided not to spoil the day for the children.

   The elder guys accompanied by trainers climbed up one of the highest peaks. Meanwhile other children were gathering cones in a pinery to make various articles. After bathing in pure blue water they had lunch.

   In the afternoon the Day Center took part in quizzes and outdoor competitions. It seemed they were ready to stay in Borovoe forever. It was only the pouring rain that made them get in the bus.

   On their way back the young community members were singing Jewish songs and sharing their impressions.

   "We'll remember this day forever!" they said.

   The Kokshetau Hesed "Natan" and JCC are grateful to JDC for giving this happy day to the children from poor families.
