 It
has become a good tradition in Kokshetau - to gather every week
in the community center and discuss heroes of Michael Shapiro's book "
The Jewish 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Jews of All Time".
This time the story of Moses, the first one among Shapiro's
100 became a prologue to Kabbalat Shabbat. Three generations of community
members took part in the discussion. But children liked the story the
most.
The librarian Lidiya Nyashina told with enthusiasm about the
way Miryam put Moses's basket into the river, about ten plagues of Egypt
and exodus from slavery. The discussion was so absorbing, that it continued
during Kabbalat Shabbat.
