In
its first meeting this year the Kostanay JCC women's club discussed traditional
Jewish marriage. The women invited respected families - Rahmans,
Burases, and Galyans.
They
have been together for many years, and they already have grandchildren.
How did they manage to keep their feelings for so many years? That was
the question the young club members addressed to the families.
The guests had many things to tell. They described their life
with many tests to their love, respect, and faith. But in spite of it
the couples admitted that there are cases when a marriage must be dissolved.
That is why Judaism permits divorce, but only as an extreme measure.
How a marriage is dissolved in the Jewish Tradition? The women's
club is going to discuss it during the next meeting.
