Children's
summer camp continues in Kokshetau. Every day brings something new and
interesting. Trips, tours, meetings with famous people turn summer vacation
to an exciting adventure.
The camp participants have visited a city picture gallery.
A guide took them along the halls to show pictures of Kokshetau artists.
The children not only looked at landscapes, portraits and wood engraving,
but also met a young artist to see how pictures appear.
An excursion to the Regional Museum of Local Lore was also
very useful. Its exposition has increased considerably as compared to
the last year. The children were attracted to the Culture of Kazakhstani
People's hall with a stand devoted to the Jewry. 14-year-old Sergey Volochayev
told his friends about shofar, tfilin, kippah, Hanukah candles, and mezuzah.
Tomorrow summer camp members are going to celebrate Shabbat.
Their parents and grandparents are also invited. Meanwhile Vladimir Lyahovetsky
continues his lectures about the Torah.
