A course of lectures on the history of Jewish national movement is being prepared in the Hesed "Rachel". Its author is Hana Lobchenko.

   Being a professional historian, Mrs. Lobchenko approached her task very seriously. That is why about 10 community members decided to visit her lessons after the pilot lecture.

   Rise of Jewish national movement which led to the establishment of the State of Israel can be called the most important event in Jewish life of the last century. Study of this period helps the younger generation to become close to their grandparents, and the aged to recollect about their youth.
