CELEBRATING SUKKOTH

Pavlodar 04.10.04

Sukkoth is a holiday of joy, joy of the whole nation, joy of every person. This holiday also demonstrates a connection of the Jewish nation with its land and its historical past.

Right after Yom Kippur we used to build huts. Huts remind us about Coming from Egypt and expresses our aspiration for peace.

Family, women's and youth clubs, children's day center and Hesed "Rachel" "Etgar" program members went to the suburb to build a hut. After the building process was finished, both a small 3-year old Maxim and his 65-year old grandmother Gelena Nikolaevna were sitting next to each other. It's a pity that it's too early for the grandson to deliver a speech, so this year his loving grandmother told for him: "Lehaim! For health, for peace!"
