the Petropavlovsk JCC youth club presented a meeting devoted to the Israel
Independence Day and Memory Day of Israeli soldiers who perished in the
independence war.
The youth thoroughly prepared - they made a stand
with Eretz Israel pictures, drawing and
article exhibition, and told a story of six Israeli wars: Independence
War (1948-1949), Sinai War (1956), Six-Day War
(1967), Yom Kippur War (1973) and others.
In memory of the soldiers who fought for Israel independence
6 candles were lit. After that the community members revered the memory
of the deceased with one minute silence.
Then the meeting participants tried to present the map of
modern Israel on a colored carton. It remained on the wall of Petropavlovsk
JCC. In conclusion of the meeting the youth club sang the hymn of Israel - Hatikva.
