Children's Day Center opened in Petropavlovsk JCC in June.
Its members are children from disadvantaged families and families with
many children, those who live far away from the Community Center, and
also those who are unable to go out because of their poor health.
The Hesed "Efraim" minibus takes them to the JCC,
where caring volunteers and teachers are already waiting for them.
During summer vacation they spend almost the whole day in
the JCC. So, what do they do there? They draw, sing, make various articles,
take part in relay races and intellectual competitions. And of course
they have fun.
One of the most interesting activities is listening to the
Torah chapter and discussing its heroes.
They visited the puppet-show the other day to enjoy S. Kogan's
play "Again about the Little Red Cap".
The Day Center managers are planning to have the children
take a recovery course in a water-pool. Besides this weekend the day Center
children are going to visit attractions in the park.
Good luck, guys!
