LEARNING THE TRADITION

Pesach lecture was held in the Taraz Hesed the other day. Dressed up children along with their parents and grandparents came to the meeting.

The lesson began with the story of Pesach, laws of Kashruth, and the Seder ceremony. The children could learn all the traditional foods and symbols right there on keara.

After that a performance started to remind the audience about liberation from slavery. Children in colorful dresses presented sketches about Moses's rescue, exodus from Egypt, crossing the sea, and living in the wilderness.

After the performance the children were divided into several teams to play games. There were traditional songs, quizzes, and riddles.
The children also had another task - to complete a special poster with cards they received for every correct answer in the quiz. The next game "Guess, who you are" delighted adults as well as the children.

The Hesed director Elena Dmitrieva awarded each of the participants with prizes.
