On
May 15, 2004 a member of our community Yakov Abramovitch Futoryansky turned
80. He lived together with his coeval wife Ada for about 60 years.
As fate willed they got to Kazakhstan from different regions
of the USSR. They met in Taraz (former Dzhambul) in spring 1942.
After studying at the infantry college for half a year, Yakov
went to the front. In 1943 he was wounded in the leg and hospitalized.
Correspondence between the lovers wouldn't stop.
When Yakov returned to Taraz in 1946 he and Ada got married.
Their family life was poor, but they had their own apartment. In 1947,
when their first son was born, they started building their own house.

Poverty did not harm their relations. Love, kindness, and
desire for giving attracted their friends and neighbors.
After years they already had their own house and three sons.
Destiny scattered them - the youngest son with his family lives in Germany,
the eldest one - in Tatarstan, the middle son remained with them, but
the grandchildren are in Israel. Nevertheless everybody gathered for the
anniversary.

The youngest son constantly urges the parents to move to
Germany. But they don't want to leave the native home - all their joys
and sorrows are connected with it. The creaking floor still remembers
how Ada danced on it. It's a pity that everything has gone - Ada hardly
moves now, only with the help of a stick.
But the couple is never depressed. They welcome everybody
with a friendly smile, share their recollections, show old pictures.
Dear Yakov and Ada, we wish you sound health and long life!
May nice recollections never leave you.
