Notwithstanding that, meetings of literary salon are conducted by Jewish Republican library not for the first year, organizators of the meetings continue surprising the community. This week next surprise expected haunters of the soiree. Lecture “Tel Aviv by eyes of contemporaries” was read by young volunteer of the library Kirill Davi. This was the first meeting from series “History of Israel”. Kirill chose the issue himself and did not miscalculate, the lecture read by him arise audiences’ interest.
There are many pages connecting the early history of the town which are touched upon rather seldom, in the life of each city. The literary soiree is the endeavor to tell about the first years of Tel Aviv life. Also during the lecture the speech was about history of Jaffa city.
Besides that Kirill Davi narrated to participants of the soiree about how and where from Tel Aviv got its title. The title of the town goes back to Tanakh. Kirill Davi told visitors about the great sortition with seashells. Also different stories connected with visits of famous guests in the city. And more Kirill narrated about the first mayor of Tel Aviv – Meir Dizengof. Besides the visitors of the soiree got interested in specialties of architecture in Tel Aviv.
- People came to the soiree participated in discussion with great interest. And at the end of the meeting they told that they would like such lectures to be continued. Because if people are interested in something they would like the theme to be developing. - Kirill Davi shared his opinion with us - And I too was very interested in narrating about Tel Aviv, far city, imposingly lounged on the beaches of Mediterranean Sea.
