An opening ceremony of an exhibition "From the first person…" was held in a Museum of Kazakhstani history. The exhibition was devoted to the 10th anniversary of Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations. The aim of the organizers was to show the history of the Assembly on the basis of recollections of people, who stood at the origin of AKN and have
actively facilitated to its development during all these years.
"Kazakhstan is a state with an acute form of multicultural and polyethnic type of nation", told Vladimir Prinin, an expert of Internal Policy Department of Kazakhstani President Administration. "Representatives of 130 nationalities and 40 confessions live on its territory. Common historical fate of ethnic groups, living in Kazakhstan, positively influenced the way of thinking of the whole nation, its outlook and life priorities. Country’s well-being in all its spheres of lie could not be possible without peace and agreement of people, inhabiting it."
Expositions, telling about life and history of Diasporas, living on the territory of the Republic, were arranged in two halls of the museum. Historical documents, photos and attributes of Kazakhstani nations were put on stands.
Among all these, exhibition visitors, could see a stand of Kazakhstani Jewish community, demonstrating books on history of Kazakhstani Jews, published by "Mitsva" Association, Chanukah candlestick, keara, Tzedaka, tfilin, photos from family albums of Kazakhstani Jewish community members, books on Jewish customs and holidays.
Also visitors of the exhibition could see stories "From the first person", reflecting the most interesting events and moments of Assembly’s creation. Pavel Trushkevitch ("Byelorussia" National Cultural center), Gulnar Annakulieva, Alexadr Baron ("Mitsva" Association), Gerold Belger (a writer, publicist, translator) and others shared their recollections with organizers of the exhibition.
National musical groups held their performance on the opening day of the exhibition. For performance of a song "Ose shalom" children’s vocal duet, represented Kazakhstani Jewish community was presented with a diploma of Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations.
