HOLIDAY FOR VETERANS

Yesterday in Almaty was held a state reception, devoted to the 60th anniversary of the Great Victory. Veterans, who took a deep breath after numerous stat activities, devoted to the May 9th, were honored by young generation of city Jewish community. The holiday was organized by "Mitsva" Association of Jewish National Organizations of Kazakhstan.   About 100 former soldiers and officers, as well as veterans of the front line attended the meeting. And those who could not come to the holiday because of bad health or on some other reasons, were presented with flowers and presents by representatives of "Mitsva" Association on the eve of Victory Day. Vete   During the whole evening veterans enjoyed the performance of creative groups of Almaty Jewish community center and famous Israeli singer Aleksandr Rehels. Under the sounds of war-time melodies, veterans were dancing, talking and drinking "100" "peoples committee" gram. Galina Goldberg
