This year Jews of Astana celebrated new 5766 year in "Altyn-Ay" cafe. There were more than 120 persons gathered on holiday. Volunteers of Hesed and "Shatil" club clients took an active part in preparation of the meeting. They decorated the hall, made a concert, signed and distributed invitations for holiday.


Holiday prayers, blessings for Khala and candles were uttered by Hesed director Helena Levina and members of the Hesed board. Then congratulations from friends, colleagues, and former compatriots were read.


Especially touchingly sounded the congratulations from the smallest participants of the holiday evening, who presented self-made New Year postcards for grandparents, besides rhymes and songs.
