85-year old elderly member of Zhezkazgan community Etel Davidovna Abuladze died on April 30, 2005 (Nisan 21, 5765).

  In her life she experiences hardships. Being a Hungarian Jew, in youth she escaped from Hungary to the USSR to save herself from persecution of Nazi regime. But there Etel Davidovna was arrested for violation of a state boarder. First she was send to Transcarpathian region, Dragovo village. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic war Etel Davidovna was evacuated to Kazakhstan. There, in Zhezkazgan, she spent the second part of her life. For more than 40 years she had worked as a machinist of a turret slewing crane.

  Etel Davidovna brought up her 3 children to respect the Jewish Tradition, to be always ready to render help needy people.

   Workers of Karaganda filial of "Zabota Center - Hesed Polina" and leaders of "Mitsva" Association of Jewish Natonal Organizations of Kazakhstan express their sincere condolence to relatives and dear people of Etel Davidovna. Let her soul repose in Gan Eden.
