Summer Day Camp for children of Ust-Kamenogorsk Jewish community had worked on Hesed "Faina" basis from May 30 till June 15.
Every day Hesed teachers and volunteers met children with smiles. Then camp participants went for a walk. Sitting in the park, in the shadow of trees, children were listening to interesting lectures on protection of nature, animals and environment.
Within the camp’s work children visited regional Drama Theatre named after Dzambul, were they watched a play "A magic lamp of Aladdin". They attended an exhibition of young painters in the Art Museum. In the House of Friendship of Eastern-Kazakhstani region children took part in musical-literary evenings.
When coming back to Hesed children learnt the Tradition, prepared to Shavuot holiday. Together with "Feigale" children’s vocal group, musical club leaders set a new song repertoire. Kids learnt such songs as: "The fiftieth day", "Bikurim", "We learn broha", "We build a synagogue".
There were held studies at Hesed theatrical studio. Children prepared a puppet play "Grandfather Eliezer and a carrot". With a great interest children learnt their roles, learnt to work with puppets. What is nor less important, for preparing decorations and decorating a hall for the holiday there were attracted new community members - that was Bytsenko Evgeniya, who professionally made decorations. Elena Kuklina with a help of Lubov Rylskaya was a director of that play.
That first children’s puppet play was showed before the whole community in the House of Friendship on Shavuot holiday - on June 14. With especial warmth and delight guests of the holiday and parents watched a performance of young artists - Evgeniya Nasyrova, Tatyana Korotonozhkina, Leskikov Aleksandr, Galina and Sasha Halyavin, Anton Kashitsyn.
On the finishing of the camp’s work all the children took part in a contest of the best composition and best drawing about ones’ impression’s got from being at a camp.
It’s worth noticing that parents of children contributed financially to the camp activities.
