The Festival of Kazakhstan Nations devoted to 10th anniversary of Assembly of Kazakhstan Nations passed in Karaganda. All the national centers of the region gathered in “House of Friendship”. That was wonderful exciting sight. National costumes played with different colors. National dishes were fragrant. And each centre tried to do their best to present the work they do.

   Jewish Community Centre “Shamash” prepared thoroughly, as it is always expected bright and memorable performances and interesting program. And this year again “Shamash” was at its best. JCC is included into 5 of the best cultural centers of the region.

   Performance of children from creative centre “Perurim” conquered not only Karaganda region Akim Kamaltin Mukhamejanov’s heart but the most versed viewers. The entire audiences danced under song “Lekhaim”. And on gala concert applauses did not grow silent and viewers encored “The wreath of Jewish songs”.

   Besides concert programs there was a wonderful fourshet with such Jewish dishes like lekekh, liver paste, stuffed fish, forshmak.

  At the same day in Stanislavski theatre took place solemn meeting and holiday concert, where vocal quartet “Ot Azoy” acted. And viewers applauded much as always.

  Jewish Community Centre “Shamash” was awarded with deeds, valuable gifts, money prize for participation in the festival.

   Next day Hesed “Miriam” workers and participants of Young programs took part in holiday procession. Children passed along the city in the same column with Karaganda Akim with songs and wonderful mood.
