A book exhibition, timed to Purim was held in Jewish republican library filial in Kokshetau. There was also created an illustrative newspaper, highlighting laws and commandments of the holiday.
In the course of the exposition's presentation Hesed clients and library readers got acquainted with a book of Bella Shagal "Lighting lamps". There were read aloud some episodes from the book, describing Purim celebration in Bella' s family when she was a little girl. Best of all the comers liked the moment the writer told about Purim celebrations of her childhood, her joy from getting presents and cooking tasty things for friends, as well as reading "Esther's scroll" by rabbi, giving money to poor people and merry appearance of Purimshpil troupe.
Bella Shagal's book helps to prepare not only Purim, but many other Jewish holidays as well. During that meeting guests of the library, inspired with what they have already read, told about the way they mark Purim at home. The evening was very interesting and ended so quick.
