A joint exhibition of Small Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations, city Jewish community center and "Mitsva" Association of Jewish National Organizations was opened in a Kokshetau museum of regional studies under the motto "In a single family". The aim of the exhibition is to acquaint citizens of the region with culture, customs and Tradition of the Jewish nation.

  Organizers payed significant attention to the information, uncovering the activity of "Joint" Jewish American Distribution Committee, that had recently celebrated its 90th anniversary.

  Embroidered pictures of elderly member of the community Lidiya Vlasenko and canvas of Almaty painter Svetana Golovtchenko beautified the exposition.

  The secretary of Small Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations of Akmola region Marsiit Tohaeva, a chairman of Slavonic Cultural- Enlightement society "Source", a member of Small Assembly of Kazakhtani Nations Zinaida Kantchilo, a chairman "Vidergeburg" German society of Akmola region, a Small Assembly member and a member of Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations Svetlana Korneeva, a chairman of Tatar Cultural center and a member of Small Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations Faruk Bagatov, a chairman of "Vainah" Chechen society, a member of Small Assembly of Kazakhstani Nations Gerihan Yangiev, a chairman of Azerbaidja

  Among invited guests there were workers of regional and city children’s and youth’s library, workers of Museum of Regional Study and museum named after Kuibishev, a head of city Archive, representatives of city public. Hesed "Efraim" (Petropavlovsk) director Svetlana Makarovskaya and members of Jewish communities of Shutinsk and Kokshetau cities attended the meeting.

  Museum’s director Svetlana Zhakupova met guests. An honorable right of cutting the ribbon and opening of the exhibition was given to elderly members of the Jewish community, participants of the Great Patriotic War, Leonid Sedelnikov and Veniamin Kogan. The exhibition is to work till April 15.
