 The literary soiree"Jewish self-consciousness in life of Jews-poets" took place in Pavlodar Hesed. The soiree was conducted by Russian language and literature teacher, laureate of Pushkin’s Prize of 2003, Michael Sheinin. By the way this meeting has become the last before Michael left for permanent residence in Australia, and now there is one more wonderful man less in Jewish Community of Pavlodar.
The theme, Michael have chosen is performed well in rare publication - poetical collection "Menorah". Once it was prohibited to talk about national self-consciousness. But nevertheless this questio n invariably sounded in collections of wonderful Jewish poets such as Josef Brodsky, Boris Slutzky, and Eugenie Evtushenko with his wonderful work "Babiy Yar".
The poems read by Michael Sheinin participants will remember for a long time. Some of them turned the tears.
Jewish Community thanked Michael Sheinin and presented him a memorable gift made by children. All this, remembrance of OFEK-2005, audiences’ applauses, friends’ smiles Michael will bring with him in distant lands in memory about Jews of Kazakhstan.
