Pavlodar 07.05.2005
Pavlodar Jewish community honored memory of Holocaust victims with a minute’s silence. The ceremony was held in "Rachel" Hesed. Then the comers were invited to a club of cinema lovers, where they watched a film "Pianist", directed by Roman Polanskiy.
"History goes around the circle, or it is more correctly to say, it swings back and forth like a pendulum. Several generations had to be changed for people to be able to look at war from another side", told Roman Polanskiy in one of his interview, and, having watched movie "Pianist", Pavlodar Jews fully agreed with its creator.
The evening ended with the opening ceremony of book exhibition, composed of books about Holocaust.
