The majority of the Jewish holidays are connected to events of the Jewish history. And holidays Rosh-ha-Shana and Yom Kippur associates with the person of the man, and are the re-grasp of life, time of correction of mistakes and spiritual growth of the man. Therefore per the first New Year's Day the Community of Pavlodar was going in synagogue, where the people could once again feel by one large family. To all together Jews of area listened shrill sounds of Shofar, wakening soul to repentance, and to tshuva.
Those, who could not come to a holiday in synagogue, were going at the day time centre Hesed "Rachel". Clients from "Home care" service were congratulated by the director of Hesed, Tatiana Slivinskaya. The chief of the religious programs Vladimir Handin has told about customs of holidays spent in Tishrey month: Rosh-ha-Shana, Yom Kippur, Sukkoth, Shmini-Atzeret, and Simkhat Torah.
And what holiday without gifts?! Each ward Hesed "Rachel" has received
remarkable clay jug for honey made by children, training in Creative workshop at city Community Centre.
