In Petropavlovsk the international conference “Electronic library - high-tech in maintenance of safety and availability of a cultural heritage " has passed. The participation in a conference has accepted about six hundred the experts working in libraries and for libraries of Kazakhstan and Russia, including the representatives of the Jewish library RK. Visitors spoke about what should be the librarian XXI of century, about a role of electronic libraries. The program of a conference included plenary session, section, trainings, master - classes, presentations of libraries, creative laboratories, “round tables”, exhibition.

   In the performances the participants of a conference especially emphasized, that in territory FSU the library workers never lost of contacts with each other, have kept common cultural space and without a hint on disagreements use opportunities of modern engineering for preservation (it’s first of all) both augmentation of a cultural heritage and maintenance of wide access of the users to resources of libraries, archives, museums.

   The representative of Republican Jewish library Galina Korobkina also has told visitors about experience of application of modern technologies by the Jewish libraries in RK. The speech went about successfully used not the first year the electronic book catalogue, books on electronic carriers, realization of reader's videos – internet conferences, virtual meetings with the writers and poets. The library workers with interest have considered work of the Jewish library and have expressed desire in the future to take part in measures spent by the Jewish community.
