A lecture "Ecology and Health" was held in Petropavlovsk for "Efarim" Hesed clients. The lecture was prepared by the volunteer of the Jewish Welfare organization Valentina Trefilova. The recently issued work by Hanok T.B. "Environmental pollution and making organism healthy" was the basic material of the lecture.

  The lecture touched upon the problems of negative influence of polluted air, nitrates, dirty water, infected soil, and as a result of it, the emergence of diseases.

  The conductor of the lecture payed due attention to the questions set by listeners. Most of all people were interested if there is an opportunity to keep health in today's conditions and preventive health care.

  At the end of the lecture Valentina Efimovna held a short quiz and gave the most active participants very useful prizes for winter times - vitamin sets.
