It’s extremely important to bring up a person to love and respect environment from youth. To achieve this aim the whole word celebrates International Day of River Protection. This year Eastern Kazakhstan marked it for the first time. It was held in Semipalatinsk. Such public Associations as "Istok" ("Cradle") and "Semey is my home" organized a children's drawing contest called "We are for clean Irtysh".
On the initiative of leaders of the program on rendering social help to "Etgar" Jewish children, young members of Semipalatinsk community also took part in a contest. 13 children draw a disaster of a grand river, namely the way they see Irtysh.
Clean, kept by people Irtysh, was "flowing" along the sheets of paper under children's hands. Children wanted to see it clean and happy. The youngest of them: Dominika Baturina, Richard Lazo, Maxim Yakushev, Pavl Barbarat and Nikita Levanov were awarded with gifts and diplomas. Three more participants were marked with encouraging certificates. They are Renata Nigmatullina, Mariya Eranova and Andrey Olenev.
On River Protection Day all the children attended the opening ceremony of children's drawing exhibition held in the Palace of Children's and Youth's Art. Kids liked this new holiday very mush. From all the heart they wished to keep the river. When these children grow up, they will not let our common house, the name of which is the Earth Planet, to be littered.
