Taldykorgan 07.06.2005
Last week "Aviv" Jewish Cultural welfare center of Taldykorgan held a meeting devoted to questions of bringing up of tolerance in young generation. Aleksandr Matushkin, a religious and community program coordinator of the center told that there is a freedom of speech and religion in Kazakhstan and there is no censorship. The state government pursues a consistent policy of interconfessional agreement and religious equality. Peaceful coexistence of different confessions is provided in the state as well as an effective struggle with religious extremism.
And a congress of leaders of world and traditional religions, recently held in Astana, became a convincing proof of raising peacemaking potential of our country. In accordance with the results of congress’ work, akimat of Taldykorgan city marked "Aviv" Jewish Cultural welfare center with a diploma.
