Taraz 11.05.2005
War years become farther and farther with every passing day. Nevertheless, every year on May 9th we mark Victory Day with a great joy and excitement.
Years go by. And now we live in the XXI century. Though we move further and further from May 9th of 1945, its greatness cannot be lessened.
Taraz Jewish community celebrated the 60th anniversary of Victory with especial solemnity. Beautifully laid tables in a holiday hall, decorated with congratulatory posters, balloons, flowers and wartime-songs - thus children and grandchildren welcomed veterans.
Eye-witnesses of those tragic events decrease in their numbers with every passing day and a living thread, connecting us with the events of those war days, become more and more thin.
May be because of this we were so glad to see our veterans: Futoryanskiy Yakov Abramovitch, Urshanskiy Evsey Davidovitch, Kebadze Anna Michailovna, Grinberg Haunuya Fishelevna, Pronyaevna Ludmila Yakovlevna, Malovitskaya Zelda Gileivna - because exactly they represent a living legend of those memorial days.
Interesting literary and musical compositions, special congratulations for each veteran didn’t let any participant of the meeting to be indifferent to that.
Hesed also didn’t forget those, who were not able to come to the holiday - they were congratulated with flowers, greeting cards and large boxes of chocolate sweets at their homes.
Descendants bent their heads before valorous veterans, people of elderly generation.
