 Regional director of "Joint" Committee in Central Asia, Stanley Abramovitch, and president of "Mitsva" Association, Alexander Baron, visited Dzambyl region with official call. Representatives of Jewish organizations were in Hasadim and JCCs of Taraz and Shymkent, got acquainted with work of Jewish culture centers and Sunday schools.
During the trip Stanley Abramovitch and Alexander Baron more than once met with representatives of Jewish Communities of the region. They paid special attention to issues of Hesed clients’ share holding in fee for services and searching of donors inside the Kazakhstan Jewish Community.
- The same issues were raised during the seminar for Hasadim directors from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, a week ago conducted by "Joint" and "Mitsva" together, - says Alexander Baron, - now we would like to discuss coming changes with people which would be touch by them.
 In Shymkent during the visit to Sunday school, Stanley Abramovitch acquainted with young generation of the Community. Children presented the guest a song for Rosh-ha Shana, and performed dance improvisation "Freilekhs". And in his turn, Stanley asked their questions, and told about work of "Joint" Committee in details.
Eight years ago Stanley Abramovitch and Alexander Baron visited the Gamboms (Shymkent). That time guests presented the married couple Jewish calendar, and by the insistence of hosts autographed on this calendar. And it’s appeared that family still keeps the calendar. Guests again signed it promised to come to South Kazakhstan again no later than in 7 years.
