On May 4 and 5, Taraz Community center held activities, devoted to the Holocaust Day of European Jews and brevity of ghetto heroes, fought against German Fascists. There were delivered lectures about martyrs, died of Nazi arms, and about brevity of those, who rebelled against them.

  On those days community members lit six candles - a memory of six million Jews died at Holocaust and destruction of their world in the years of World War II.

  Community recalled six million Jews, about one million of children among them, killed by Nazi; they recalled sp iritual resistance of Jewish men, women and children, who sent a challenge to inhuman conditions, they were driven to, despite which they kept their belief, moral and humanity; recalled physical resistance of Jews, who rose against Nazi wherever it was possible and took part in underground work.

  Some key Holocaust events were not forgotten as well. The ones who died were honored with a minute of silence.
