In clear, on - summer warm Sunday day, Jewish community of Almaty gathered in sanatorium "Nauryz" for meeting a holiday Sukkoth. A holiday of a crop and construction of tents conducted in memory that at one time our ancestors forty years being in desert, built tents ("sukka"). The members of a community decided to construct two tents, branches for them kindly has given a management of sanatorium.
Having united into two teams (in one were children, the teenagers and youth, in another - volunteers, "Family club" and grandmother from "Day centre "), amicably began working. The construction was carried out under favorite Jewish melodies, singing of birds, joke and laughter. Musical registration of a holiday has supplied the manager of JCC "Rimon" Inessa Chugaynova.
The ready tents with were decorated with paper garlands and flash-lights made by hands of children, appliqué' works of the grandmothers from "Day centre ", ribbons, balloons, posters and artificial fruits.
Sukkoth turned out very trim and cozy. Then, inside each tent were read the prayers on Arbaat-ha-minim. In it have taken part all wishing.
Volunteer Galina Lipker very interestingly and substantially told about a holiday, about four kinds of plants and their symbolical meaning.
Known intellectual of family club Alexandr Dotzenko conducted the game "What? Where? When?" already became attractive to all community.
The various game program helped everybody to forget about the age, and the grandmothers on a level with the grandsons played and received prizes. They were cutting off gifts on threads with the closed eyes, ran in relay race, and answered questions of quiz on traditions.
In the senior group with large fervour conducted games Inna Enina, in younger: inexhaustible on an invention - Mishura Victoria and Trokhimchuk Natalie.
The active participants of club "Retro" prepared a gift for a community. They have shown a performance on a theme of a holiday "Sukkoth". The teachers of a circle on "Self-defense" of JCC "Rimon" Mark and Dmitry Wiser conducted indicative performance with sabers.
From the heart having worked, and having had fun in plenty, all amicably have set off to a restaurant, where them hospitably met careful Natalie Dmitrieva and Svetlana Khalturina. At the good table and friendly conversation the time has run imperceptibly.
The members of a community have got huge pleasure from the spent measure. Having stayed first half of day on fresh air and having received a new charge of energy for the next week, having filled up the luggage with new knowledge of traditions, not only theoretical, but also practical, (everyone has taken part in construction of sukka), with prizes and good mood the community set off home.
