 Perfect gift to the Jewish children of Almaty and Almaty region, and also their parents, grandmothers and grandfathers, have made on the first days of 2006 the American Jewish distributive committee Joint and "Mitsva" Association. The trip to Winter camp was to taste as of the smallest members of a community - guys from the program "Etgar" and "Mazal Tov", and fathers - members of Family club of Community Centre "Rimon".
 News about that our dear sponsors could find means for realization of this trip - the manager of Jewish Community centre "Rimon" Inessa Chugainova tells, - has found us unawares. And business not that was necessary for short enough term to find a place, where the members of clubs JCC and clients of Hesed could have a rest and correct health. We should develop the extensive program of measures, which would be interesting and is useful to all participants of Winter camp.
The chiefs of JCC decided, that will lead Winter camp in three stages. By first in sanatorium "Nauryz", located near Almaty, 16 small clients of the programs "Etgar" and "Mazal Tov" - children from needy and incomplete families have set off. An opportunity to visit in sanatoriums together with the guys have received and 9 parents. For the majority of families the trip became not simply gift, and small miracle, about which they for a long time have ceased, even to dream.
During all rest children received sanatorium-preventive treatment. Each day the kids were sent on massage, drunken phyto-tea took medical baths, inhalations and much another. Pure air, walk on a nature and game, high-grade 5 time meals, friendly dialogue all this promoted strengthening of health of a body and spirit. Also there is a lot of time and attention was given to conversations about Traditions, history of the Jewish people. And still children from Etgar and Mazal tov with pleasure listened the Jewish fairy tales, which read them volunteers of the Jewish republican library.
In the first of January the exit Winter camp met the second group - Family club "Shalom". Three, and in some cases and four generations of a community, were going together in sanatorium " Kazakhstan". The grandmothers and grandfathers, grandsons, great-grandsons and children having forgotten about age, home problems and cares lived by one large, noisy family. Before their cheerfulness and optimism quailed even 30 degrees frost! On avenues of sanatorium each day all new snowballs and snow locks grew, and in a small conference hall of the inhabited case each evening there was a preparation for the large concert - skit, which would become an original result of five days of life of camp.
 Did not forget about Family club and employees of Hesed and Community centre, Republican Jewish library. And always they were the desired guests of camp. So the families have met pleasure with Natalie Dorman, director of Hesed "Polina" and remarkable psychologist. Natalie Dorman answered all questions of the members of club and has lead a small game - training, which helped better to reveal to talents both children, and adults.
Third, and most noisy, restless group which has visited in sanatorium was children of the Centre of children's creativity "Osher", guys from the program " Mazal Tov ", accepting the most active participation in measures of the children's centre, and still small visitors JCC "Rimon" from Kapchagay and Karaganda. For classes with children in camp was invited Irina Dorohina - teacher of communicative games and drawing; Danelya Spitzina - teacher of dances; Ruslan Archakov - organizer of sports activities.
 Children were settled in comfortable double rooms. Each day in life of the guys was complete of fascinating events. Communicative games directed on rallying of group, lessons of drawing and preparation for a spring exhibition of children's creativity “Passover by eyes of children”, whether lecture “to the Slave to reign” held by volunteer of the Jewish library Svetlana Nezhinskaya, intellectual game "Connoisseurs" pleased of the guys during 5 days. All this time children had an opportunity to show the knowledge in the field of the Jewish traditions, knowledge of Torah and general educational subjects. And on farewell concert children have shown the talents - read verses, sang the Jewish songs in Hebrew, Yiddish and Russian languages, danced.
Children and adults wonderfully have spent time in camp. The Jewish Community Almaty thanks committee Joint and Association "Mitsva" for gift.
