 In Astana opening of unique architectural structure - Palace of the peace and consent having the pyramidal shape was held. Height of 25-storied building - is 62 meters, in it will be placed opera theatre for 1,5 thousand places, three-storied museum, exhibition and concert halls, library, offices of spiritual religions etc.
The pyramid is on a small hill, on horizon its form is clearly visible. In the bottom part of a structure, more dark, is opera theatre for 1,5 thousand spectators. The most important premise - the conference hall, where will pass Congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions, is in the top part, full of light. The pyramid is full of light and space that contradicts traditional representations about it.
In the opening ceremony of the Palace also took part the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and leaders of Kazakhstani diasporas. The Jewish Community of Kazakhstan was represented by President of "Mitsva" Association, Alexandr Baron.
"Opening this palace we would like, it to become not only pride of Astana and Kazakhstan, but also sight of all Central-Asian region ", - said N. Nazarbayev.
The head of Kazakhstan also has reminded that the construction of Palace of the peace and consent is an embodiment of that idea, which was offered on the first Congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions in September, 2003 in Astana. This building, according to the President of Kazakhstan, is an original symbol of interethnic and inter confessional stability, friendship of the peoples of Kazakhstan.
In the evening, on the day of opening, in an Opera hall of Palace of the peace and consent will be held opening of the international festival "World stars in Astana" with participation of the world famous opera singer Montserrat Kabalye.
