 In Astana began working II congress of the leaders of world and traditional religions. The measure for the first time held just three years ago, already that time applied for the status of the event of global importance. Now it is already the fact. To that testify the interest, shown to a forum, of the international community and increased almost twice quantity of the visitors - spiritual hierarchs of all important confessions.
In 2003 on a religious forum came the delegations from 17 countries. Now there are 29 of them. Total number of the participants of congress is 43 men. On the data of a press-service of administration of the president of Kazakhstan, for illumination of congress more than 350 journalists are accredited from fifty countries of the world - such amount of our colleagues does not arrive on any economic summit.
On listing of names and ranks of the high rank visitors the fair part of a newspaper strip would leave. It is easier to tell, who has not arrived. Unfortunately, Astana will not visit personally the Holly father, Patriarch of Moscow and the whole Rus and Dalai Lama, but congress by the presence will be honored by their representatives.
In general the religious "geography" of the activity is rather wide. Did not stay aside either Buddhists or Krishnaits, not even saying about the various branches of a Christianity and Islam. Among the participants of the meeting there is even a president of the World Board of a cultural heritage of Zarasutra.
Yesterday Nursultan Nazarbayev met the heads of the first delegations which have arrived in Astana. After conversation with the Kazakhstan leader many from them spoke that the Kazakhstan initiative three years after, seems even more vital and encouraging.
On belief of the president of Indian Muslims organization "Jamaat-e-Shaba-e-Islam" Salman Al Khuseini al Nadvi, "the world needs in interreligious and interconfessional consent ".
- I am sure, that this congress will bring in the contribution to an establishment of global religious dialogue, - he declared.
Bishop of Kroydona (Anglican Church, Great Britain) Nicolas Banes, participating in the first congress and consisting in secretary on preparation second, has emphasized, that this forum does not become last point in business of strengthening of interconfessional dialogue, but will give a new pulse to positive processes: "After congress we shall have the large work on an embodiment in life of the arrangements which will be achieved".
Also president of Kazakhstan has met the general secretary of The World Islamic league Abdalla Ben Abdel Mokhsen At-Turki, deputy of National assembly of Republic of Korea Kim Von Ki and general director of UNESCO Koichiro Mazzura. Last has noted, that the congress "is a core during development of interethnic and interreligious dialogue not only in Kazakhstan and Central-Asian region, but also all over the world ".
And the vice-president of the Indian not governmental organization "K.J Somaiya Trust " Shantilala Karamshi Somaya has admitted, that after the end of the first congress he offered to conduct second in Malaysia. And now, when he again has arrived in Astana, our president has asked advice from him concerning a place of realization of the following forum.
- I have answered for it: " Only here! " - Indian visitor told. - Once again, having seen, as concern to this congress in Kazakhstan, I have changed the former opinion and now I am deeply convinced, that the third congress of the leaders of world religions should pass only in Astana!
