There is no, probably, a man indifferent to a telecast "Wait for me ". On our eyes there are surprising meetings of the people which have lost each other tens years ago. The heroes of this material have not searched for anybody, as were sure, that all their large family was lost on the first days of Second World War. Everything happened casually - fan of a World Wide Web in Israel has come across in the Internet a surname Barnamov, rather rare for the Jews. And patronymic of the man about which there was a speech coincided also. "Isn’t it a brother of the my friend’s father?"
- thought the man and called Israeli Barnamovs.
And the background is those. My article in a heading "Destiny of the man " was published in " Kostanay news " April 5, 2005. And even earlier I have transferred this material to our site www.mitsva.kz. I wrote then about Abraham Gdalyevitch Barnamov. We have met with him just in the eve of his 80th anniversary. The most part of life this man was the simple worker. Built railroads, worked as the loader in sea port of Sakhalin, carried a grain on a virgin soil. The diligent driver was noticed, and the career of Barnamov, connected with his organizing abilities began. For 14 years he was building the new comfortable settlement in a economy "Kaymakkolskoye", 12 years - in "Moskalevskoye", where he was enticed by the famous director Michael Karpov.
The musical school, library, kindergarden, hospital - everything was those years in the exemplary order. The central manor was buried in verdure. Barnamov put in work all his soul. He moved to the regional centre with the wife Praskovya on old age years, to children. They lived in modest two-room flat, rather poor, as all pensioners.
Unfortunately, we had not time to tell him a kind word at life: article was issued, when Abraham Gdalyevitch was not alive, he died suddenly. There was a widow three daughters, grandsons. With them also decided to meet new found senior brother of Abraham - Ilya Barnamov.
The Barnamovs were born in Vilenskaya province. In the large family of cab driver there were six brothers and small sister {the daughter the stepmother). When province was attached to the Soviet Union, Abraham entered to study as the builder of railroads. The begun war (Western Byelorussia at once became an object of military actions) has interrupted study. The way to home was cut off, and Abraham together with other teenagers has been sent in Sverdlovsk. He has never more seen his family. Later has found out, that all were lost in ghetto.
The war was terrible tragedy for all peoples, for the Jews - tragedy doubly. The fascists killed everybody young and old only for the belonging to this nation. How was to go through the grief left alive by a miracle? At the Jews it is accepted on a day of death of the man in memory of him to light candles. Very much frequently they did not know when and where the life of the native man has broken.
Abraham has gone through everything. He has got a family, brought up perfect children. If he only knew, that in alive there were two senior brothers (Guys managed to run in a wood to partisans)! After that they were at war up to the Victory, and after ways of the brothers were dispatched. Abraham appeared on Ural, was then enlisted on Sakhalin, well and after at last has located on Kostanay to a virgin soil. Ilya has left to build the young Jewish state. He arrived in Israel on a vessel, in which transported cattle. They have experienced much - first migrant in the country of forefathers. Drained bogs, mastered deserts, built cities. And everything for that the children of naked and hungry resettlers, arrived from concentration camps, never knew either persecutions or deprivations. And in many respects have achieved. "We have everything, - the visitor of Kostanay Ilya Barnamov said and with bitterness added, - except for the world... "Well, 85-years old Ilya Barnamov managed to realize contemplated things, he has arrived accompanied by his son and daughter-in-law in the visitors to Kostanay relatives. He has bowed to a tomb of the brother, with which has parted 65 years ago. For long years he did not forget Russian, and his children speak only Hebrew, and also know English. They spoke about much, have recollected far childhood. Children of Abraham have shown to the visitors sightseeing of Kostanay, have visited together in steppe, in a wood, on boundless our fields. And certainly, with tears recollected those whom any more will not return... If only it was possible to turn time back.
If only the article issued one year earlier and it was casually seen in the Internet. If the brothers could see each other... Yes only destiny, as well as history, does not know a subjunctive inclination. And there is nothing to do. The main thing is, that due to it native people, have found each other, could talk heart-to-heart. Now they are together - they are one family.
