 In lecture hall "Jewish History and traditions" of Pavlodar Jewish Community Centre by Maxim Barinsky was conducted the lecture under the book of Herman Wouk "That’s my G-d". Maxim Barinsky told the gathered that the author is one of the most popular modern writers. His novels devoted to the Second World War, became a basis for creation of a series of films.
The book of Herman Wouk "That's my G-d" is apart in his creation. The writer solves in it the most difficult task: with ease, peculiar to him of style and without false academes he gives a wide and exact picture of a history, customs, rituals, way of life of the Jewish people. The interesting fact, taking into account, that on many mentioned questions there are various discrepant opinions, the author anywhere and in anything does not impose to the reader his point of view.
Maxim Barinsky in his statement emphasized, that this book is useful for everyone, who is interested in a history of the Jewish people.
