 The life of the Jews of Petropavlovsk in past month was full of bright events. In September the edge, in honor of 70-th anniversary of formation of area, was visited by the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. All the national-cultural centers of Northern Kazakhstan participated in meeting. The "alive corridor" was prepared from well-dressed representatives of all nationalities living in area.
 And delegation of the Jewish centre was adequately represented on this holiday. The beautiful costumes and cheerful performance of the Jewish songs, dance have not left indifferent the high-ranking visitor. The president and Akim of area amicably applauded and, to pleasure of the participants, even tried to dance under a cheerful melody "Hava Nagila ". We think, the holiday has left in soul of each
inhabitant of area a piece of light and pleasure.
