 Within the framework of Day of languages of the peoples of Kazakhstan at many schools and other cultural - educational institutions of Petropavlovsk area the measures telling about the Jewish culture, history, and life have passed. The members of a community with the large enthusiasm considered this unique opportunity to acquaint compatriots with the Jewish holidays and customs.
And certainly, it is better to begin acquaintance with music! Soloist of creative collective of Jewish Community Center in Petropavlovsk Svetlana Pyatkova with songs "Papirosy" and "Chiribim" took part in a regional festival of languages of the peoples of Kazakhstan. The festival passed at the Regional cultural centre. Besides an applause and gratitude of the students, Sveta on behalf of Akimat of city was awarded with the honorable letter.
Other meeting of Petropavlovsk people with culture of the Jewish people passed in a school "BEST". Here, young participant of the programs of JCC Sara Isakova in a national costume, under quiet Klayzmer music
has lead lesson on geography of the state Israel and took 1 place in school.
And young vocalist, nominee of a festival "Freilehe Kinder" Ivan Usatov was invited in a military school of internal forces of Kazakhstan. Having told about the Jewish centre, he brought in a gift 2 songs "Ierushalaim shel zahav " and "Bein haetzbaot ", for what also was awarded with the letter (having filled up the list of the diplomas of the children's stand!).
 But especially struck Petropavlovsk people resuscitation department of III city hospital. Its workers have addressed in Jewish Community centre, wishing independently to present on a holiday "something Jewish ". Volunteer of a community Nina Mekhelson agreed to help them. Only for week term the dance, a song were studied, the dishes were prepared (as it was threshold of Rosh-ha-Shana, they decided" to make everything as in the Jewish family on this holiday "). With laughter told, that chief doctor even two weeks did not shave off a beard to be similar to the true Jew! And everything turned out simply wonderfully and due to support of Community Center, and, undoubtedly, talent medical workers! The collective again took 1 place. It is pleasant, that already enough many know, where it is necessary to address, if the information on the Jews is necessary, and as it is good, that on it the interest does not die away, and they become our friends.
