At the end of June at Semipalatinsk Hesed worked the camp for children from incomplete needy families. During five days five kids could have a rest and learn about the Jewish Tradition as much as possible.

   Each day the guys began from tasty and useful breakfast. Then they had classes, during which the teachers told to children about a history of an origin of the Jewish people, about our forefathers and foremothers. The kids have got acquainted with the basic Jewish holidays and learnt some songs in Hebrew.

   The special interest at children was caused by excursion to unique in Kazakhstan building of synagogue of pre-revolutionary construction. The coordinator of the program "Development of Traditions" Lubov Barokhovskaya has told to the guys about a history of this synagogue built in 1913, about its importance in life of the Jewish people.

   Besides children daily with pleasure had rest in urban park - went on the rides and played on lawns mobile games. At office of Hesed children have mastered beginnings computer literacy and began preparation for republican competition of children's picture "Rosh-ha-Shana 5767".

  The culmination of rest in camp became realization of Shabbat, during which children independently made Saturday blessings.

   The organization and realization of children's camp became possible due to sponsor's support of "Joint" Committee, "Mitsva" Association, and also local sponsor - Flora Kaplun.
