 September 24 the Jewish community of Semipalatinsk met new - 5767 - year on the Jewish calendar. The holiday began from the story about the laws and customs of Rosh-ha-Shana. Then children (Pasha Barbarat, Nikita Livanov, Lilya Livit and others.) in the poetic form have congratulated present. At the covered tables gathered Jews of all generations. The meal included traditional celebratory dishes: a fish, pomegranates, apples, honey, fruit and sweetness. The knowledge of a history and traditions of a holiday Rosh-ha-Shana was shown by the members of a community during finishing quiz, winners of which got prizes.
 Especially pleses, that for the Jews of Semipalatinsk again became kind tradition, having gathered together, to celebrate the main holidays of the native people. The people come in Hesed - original house of a community - beforehand to help to prepare to collective all necessary for a holiday.
And this year the participation in Rosh-ha-Shana was taken by musical collective "Dostyk". Due to the musicians all the evening in Hesed the Jewish melodies sounded.
