 The president of Association of the Jewish national organizations of Kazakhstan "Mitsva", member of Assembly of the Nations of Kazakhstan Alexandr Baron visited the East Kazakhstan region. Here he leaded a number of meetings with the members of the Jewish community of region.
In the House of friendship of the peoples of East Kazakhstan region Alexandr Baron met also the members of Small Assembly of the Nations of Kazakhstan, where the participans of meeting have discussed the further plans of work of this unique community of world cultures.
Today in Kazakhstan work 27 republican and 450 regional national-cultural centers. According to last data, in Kazakhstan lives about seven thousand Jews, and in East Kazakhstan their number is about 600people.
The Jewish cultural centre in Ust-Kamenogorsk arisen in 1995. According to words of A. Baron, the experience of work of Small Assembly of East Kazakhstan is "richest pantry of skill to coexist in the world and friendship everyone, who lives beside, thus keeping historical culture of ethnos".
