The questions connected to expansion of cooperation between two countries in sphere of infocommunications, were discussed at the end of November in Almaty at meeting of the representatives of joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" and leading telecommunication companies of Israel. The meeting has passed within the framework of the first Kazakhstan-Israeli forum of information-communication technologies.

The representatives of 30 large companies of Israel, among which "Alvarion", "Gilat", "Frequency Bank Signal", "Connect One", "ECI Telecom", "EIM Telecom", "FTS Formula Telecom Solution", "Teledata Networks" and others took part in business meeting with the chiefs of joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom". Basically they are interested in development of the joint projects in the field of wireless, mobile, cable communication, Internet - services and system integration.

From joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" at meeting acted the main director on development of business Rizat Nurshabekov, main technical director Alexandr Lezgovko, main sales manager Askar Eserkegenov and main financial director Arnur Nurkatov. They told about the basic directions and prospects of development of the company, have mentioned questions of development and introduction of new services, IPTV, Triple Play, construction of networks of new generation NGN, convergence of the mobile and fixed communication and expansion of a spectrum of services.

Joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" has wide experience of work with such branch companies of Israel, as "Gilat", "ECI Telecom", "Teledata Networks" and "Alvarion". So, the cooperation with the company "Gilat" began in 1998. Between Joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" and "Gilat" the contract on delivery of the equipment VSAT "FaraWay" on satellite technology DAMA for provision of telephone communication the remote removed settlements is signed. In 2000 Joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" concluded the contract on purchase of the satellite equipment "SkySrar Advantage" on transfer given for realization of the project on construction of a business - network with the trade mark "KULAN". The cooperation with "Alvarion" consists in delivery of the equipment for granting services of wireless broadband access on technology WiMax for cities Astana and Aktobe.

"We highly estimate cooperation with the companies of Israel. They deliver the equipment practically for all segments of a network. We are ready to continuation of cooperation. Our company, in turn, has huge potential and stake on development of new services of telecommunications", - declared Alexandr Lezgovko.

And, were sounded both prospect, and problem of cooperation. We had high-grade open dialogue and that is the most important. We hope, that the cooperation between the telecommunication companies of Israel and Kazakhstan will proceed and become more active. For example, the companies of Israel are ready together to develop in Kazakhstan convergence of the mobile and fixed communication. Joint-stock company "Kazakhtelecom" has large opportunities and interesting projects. We once again were convinced of it".
