THE FORCE IS IN UNITY

November 5 in Moscow the session of Board of continental sections of the World Congress of Russian Jewry (WCRJ) passed. The results of work of a Congress for 2006-2007 years were made; the report of the executive director of WCRJ was heard. The discussion and acceptance of strategy of activity of the Congress was held.

At meeting for the first time for a five years' history of existence of organization the president of WCRJ was elected. He became the representative of government of Penza area in Council of Federation, vice-president of SF on a science, education, public health services and ecology Boris Spiegel. The chiefs of Russian organizations and communities from 27 states participated in a forum. Including the president of Association of the Jewish National Organizations of Republic of Kazakhstan Alexandr Baron.

"I would like to thank everyone, who has voted for my nominee on a post of the president of WCRJ. It is the huge responsibility and special honor rendered to me by the colleagues and the blood brothers, - told Boris Spiegel. - I shall try to keep traditions, which already were got by the Congress during the activity, and I shall do utmost, that the work of WCRJ for the boon Russian Jewry was felt on each representative and in numerous Diasporas, and in small communities in all corners of the world, on which the destiny scattered us".

The representatives of WCRJ consider, that election as the president of a Congress the Russian Boris Spiegel, his experience of state management, popularity in business and cultural circles will promote the further strengthening of partners relations of Russia with the countries of residing of the Russian Jews, more effective solution of social - political questions and protection of interests of our former compatriots.

Today in the world live more than three millions of Russian Jews that makes 25 % of all Jewish population of a planet. Such significant part of a society can not exist outside of social - political processes, which occur in those countries, where the emigrants from the countries of former USSR live. To help our former compatriots to adapt, to be integrated in local communities, and to keep original culture, and also to find all those rights, which exist in the countries of their present residing - is main task of the World Congress of Russian Jewry.
