May 9, 1945 … this date is further from us, but it does not fade in memory, also the same brightly shines glory of immortal feats. Solar, on - summers warm Sunday morning of May 13, Hesed Almaty has flung open the doors to the veterans of Great Domestic War. It has already become kind tradition, to collect war-veterans at the celebratory table.

The hall of Hesed was decorated with stands with photos of the participants of Great Domestic War, members of our large amicable community. This gift to the veterans was made by the worker of the children's program Olga Drobnokhod. The melodies of old front songs created a unique atmosphere of far 40th.

How many pleasure and warm memoirs was at the participants of this holiday. Someone did not constrain tears, recollecting the expeirenced and many comrades which have not come back from the front. The coordinator of the program "Volunteers" Inna Enina and manager of Community Center Inessa Chugaynova warmly congratulated the gathered on Victory Day and wished to the veterans strong health, happiness and long years of life.

In a small concert prepared by forces of Community Center of Almaty, the children's choral collective "Anakhnukan", ensemble "Sovlanut" (chief Ludmila Samsonova), group "Nehama" acted.

The veterans sang together with acting already long time ago grown fond songs becoming for many years as symbolic of a holiday.

The kids, and on age the great-grandsons, have prepared in a gift to the participants of a holiday cards made by own hands, and also the small ceramic products - souvenirs as Hamsa - symbol of protection, which they have handed under sounds of songs performed by a children's duet "Natalies". The kids with genuine interest and admiration looked at a medal and awards on a breast of the veterans.

In Community Center the large attention to connection of generations is given, therefore children well know about days of Catastrophe, about a history of Great Domestic War, about courage and honor of warriors Winners. The honorable visitors of a holiday of a Victory became also warrior-internationalists, participants of local wars.

One year has passed already since there was an association of clubs.

With warmness was met statement of the veterans - poets Leonid Girsh and Yuri Shneiderman.

They recollected heroic work of the medical workers and scouts and many, many others, who, each day step by step worked for a Victory.

Despite of heavy everyday life, the war was marked by bright meetings. So, at the front have got acquainted and have connected the destinies Anna Golisheva and Michael Kats. This year the spouses celebrated 62-th anniversary of joint life, this evening they accepted warm congratulations.

Many veterans noted at the end of a holiday the special atmosphere of heat. And it was really so all who took part in organization and realization of a holiday have enclosed in it a particle of the soul and sincere gratitude, that all of us were born and have grown in peace time, which was paid by the high price of many millions life...

Tomorrow will come new day, the sun will shine brightly, children will play in sandpit, in love will wander on avenues of old park with joint hands..
