Kostanay Hesed in the period from October 21 till November 10, 2007 conducted Festival of the Jewish book. This measure five years in succession collects the people on interesting measures, exhibitions and meetings.

This year the Festival was opened by meeting of Female club, which chief is Lydia Kazakevitch. At this meeting spoke about creation of Victoria Tokareva - famous writer who has written many perfect products, many of which became basis of known films. But not only about it spoke at meeting of Female club - not less important part of meeting there was a conversation on cuisines of the peoples of the world, to be exact about dishes of the Jewish cuisine and about dishes of other nationalities. Active participation in it took Zinaida Buras, Marina Shorokhova, Nina Rakhman, Tamara Novikova, and Valentina Shulga. Each of them endeavored and prepared original and tasty viands, which the gathered people and tasted together.

The second meeting was held in a musical saloon under the direction of Anastasia Palant. Anastasia prepared for the students theme "Romanticism of a romance". Familiar to everybody and the famous romances in performance of Joseph Kobzon and Isabella Yuryeva, touched soul of everyone, who came this evening. The visitors shared with the memoirs on performance of Joseph Kobzon in Kostanay some years ago.

And who does not know the famous children's writer Samuel Marshak? And adult, and all the more so his products are known to children since small years. The children's creative group prepared statement on motives of a poem of Marshak " Good day ", for which stage scenery were made by children from paper with the help of technique "Origami". In this work the guys from different cities took part. Olya Grigorova, Sasha Shestakov, Fedor Gafurov, Anton Ivanov from Kostanay. Timofey Sushenko, Dasha Ogneva, Julia Smolina and Nikita Parfenov arrived from Rudny. Kristina Chernichko, Valentin Solovyev, Oleg Polkovnikov - inhabitants of Lisakovsk, and Valera Alikulov - from Pertzevka.

And the most entertainment, colorful and emotional part of OFEK became a final concert, which was held in a perfect and cosy hall of House of Friendship. This light and solar day in a hall gathered the people of all ages those, who loves, knows and values the book.

Holiday opened Alla Gafurova, intimately having congratulated and having thanked everyone, who participated in preparation of Festival. A lot of warm and kind words were told this evening to address of volunteers. To them has devoted the verses Vladimir Lyakhovetsky, having noted, that they are "heart of a community". This evening the director of Hesed Peter Rubinstein congratulated volunteers and over each of them handed gratitude and memorable souvenir. And certainly, any Jewish holiday does not manage without songs. A lot of familiar melodies sounded this evening in a hall. Ninelle Berelovitch stroke the hall by a song "Evenu Shalom aleikhem", Anastasia Palant presented to the students world famous "Hava nagila", and bright and impressing became performance of the guys from Youth club. Vladimir Aleksanin and Anna Fisenko sang some songs of the Soviet composers - Jews. Eugenia Logvinenko performed a romance under a guitar - translation of Marshak. Olga Kuperman won the audience, having performed a romance from a film of Eldar Ryazanov. And the young asterisks Xenia Slozhenikina and Anna Fisenko as always became a pleasant surprise for all spectators. Stirring song about "Old grand piano" has not left indifferent anybody this evening. And certainly professional game of Vadim Chashkov (clarinet) warmed heart of everyone, who has come on this meeting.

Touchingly and sincerely Alla Gafurova told about destiny and creation of Eldar Ryazanov. As the end of the story about his work the film "Old jade" was shown.
